Wainui Beach- Picture perfectWainui, is the most picture perfect beach. It’s located in the city of Gisborne; known as the world’s first city to view sun-rise; which makes it the perfect place on earth to watch sun-rise. Gisborne- is known for it’s white sand and Wainui beach, Chardonnays Wine that’s award-winning and it’s glorious golden sunrises. According to the locals, the beach could be enjoyed starting with the sunrise, the wine and the beach.

The Wainui beach is long and replete with all kinds of facilities. You could spend an ideal day without worrying about anything else in the world. It’s car parks, the tracks meant for jogging and walking, untouched spaces for a lovely sunbath, picnic spots, and  put-ins for boats; makes sure that you have a time of your life, even if that means that you are spending just a day on the beach. The Wainui Beach is very well with local surfers, and also weddings and parties.

The life saving club known as “ Wainui Surf Lifesaving Club” has an area where families can spend quality time with each other. A walk to the Makorori Headland has some breath taking views of both Makorori and Wainui Beaches, and also the Mahia Peninsula that is towards the south.

There are many holiday homes and lodges facing the beach available for the tourists. Most of the rooms in the lodges and holiday homes have a wonderful lawn which means that one can just step off the lawn to reach the beautiful and serene beach. There are deck sit backs from where you can enjoy watching kids playing on the beach or you can also explore the beach further by surfing.

The Wainui beach is also equally magical in winter. Watching the waves while they are warm and to snug inside in front of the fire leaves one with a wonderful feeling of being relaxed. Wainui beach can be enjoyed by all; be it family, friends or just by yourself. It’s picturesque views and breathing walks are some memories that would want to bring you back, time and again.
