Hot Water Beach – Create Your Own Pool Spa

Hot Water Beach – Create Your Own Pool SpaThe Hot Water Beach is an unique beach situated on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. The beach is named 'Hot Water’ beach because of the underground hot springs.

The beach is famous for digging the sand and soaking up yourself in your hot water own pool! It is said that this activity can be performed during the low tide only. It is recommended that you should dig up your pool near the beach side; so that when you are digging, the water starts coming from beneath the land which is lukewarm and you can lie down in. If you dig your pool away from the ocean, the water coming from beneath the land will be so hot that you can get burned. A pool near the water maintains the temperature ratio of the water in your pool.
